Getting married in Riviera Maya

Mexico’s most popular wedding coast.

The Caribbean coast from Cancún down through Playa del Carmen to Tulum is the highest-volume destination-wedding region in Mexico: turquoise water, white sand, cenotes, and jungle, with easy direct flights from across the US.

It spans a huge range, from large all-inclusive beach resorts to bohemian Tulum venues in the jungle. The dry, popular season runs roughly November through April; hurricane season (August–October) is worth planning around.

Where you'll say "I do"

Beach resorts to jungle cenotes.

All-inclusive beach resorts around Cancún and Playa del Carmen, and independent jungle, beach-club, and cenote venues around Tulum.

Honest heads-up: the big resorts often have preferred vendors and outside-vendor fees, which we build into your quote. Tulum’s independent venues are generally more open to the film team you choose.

SF + Riviera Maya

One studio, your day on two coasts.

Plan with us in English from the States, and we fly in to film. Travel from San Francisco is quoted transparently as part of your package.

A US studio you can meet beforehand, with no language barrier, takes the risk out of booking a film team for a beach you haven’t stood on yet.

Riviera Maya FAQ

Planning a Riviera Maya wedding film.

Cancún, Playa, or Tulum, what’s the difference for film?

Cancún and Playa are resort-driven (polished, convenient, often with vendor rules); Tulum is jungle-and-cenote, boho, and more open creatively. We film across all three.

What about resort outside-vendor fees?

Common at the big all-inclusives, from a few hundred dollars up. We flag the fee early and fold it into your quote. Independent Tulum venues usually don’t charge it.

When should we avoid for weather?

The dry season (roughly November–April) is most popular. August–October is hurricane season on the Caribbean coast, so plan dates with that in mind.

Do you speak Spanish?

We work in English with English-speaking couples and planners; we don’t operate in Spanish.
